botanical gardens wedding ceremony
this shoot was such a miracle. i remember that the whole week it was pouring down rain, and it miraculously stopped raining the morning of this shoot. #meanttobe and now we get to enjoy these beautiful pictures (which also got featured in the winter edition of wedventure earlier this year! my first published piece - yay!)
there’s only a single shot in this post of the grace suite that i created for this shoot (i’ll do another blog post later that focuses just on the suite, promise!). it was fun bringing in floral elements & calligraphy for this wedding invitation suite, and i hand-deckled the edges of the paper to give it a more organic feel. but more on that later!
i met with ellen hockley, founder of greater good events - a planning company based in brooklyn, oregon that focuses on creating sustainable, green events, something i am all about & love to be conscious of within my business. we met at my favorite nw coffee shop, sterling coffee roasters, and talked about all things biz and what she has been working on. ellen manages her time between portland & brooklyn, taking on events on both sides of the country. girl is busy!
ellen planned this magical, moody shoot at leach botanical garden, a beautiful venue in se portland. i love the table setting the most and how the royal floral colors work in so well with the whole palette. i can definitely see a much, much longer table looking so good at this venue, with the table curving around the side of the house - creating space to invite your dearest family & friends. what a wedding dinner dream that would be!
the bride & groom are gorgeous! and i am obsessed with her dress. i love the drama that the lacy details & the long length bring to it.
what a treat to be included in this dream team. linger on these photos & take time to soak up all the inspiration it gives you. happy friday, friends!
