dreamy, gem-toned styled shoot

did you need some inspiration today? if so, you’ve come to the right place. i’ve got plenty of pictures & pieces for you to drool over while you procrastinate starting the next item on your to-do list. don’t worry, once you’re done you will be SO motivated to get everything on your list done - promise! ;)

dorotheea of kamea events asked me to be a part of this literal dreamy shoot, and i gave her a big fat YES! - of course. we shot this at lightroom pdx in southeast portland, which is so fun to play around with as it’s a blank slate - perfect for creating, and the lighting is great. we worked with cat of deusamor co, who took these stunning photos, and cassie, who created these stunning florals! sierra is our gorgeous model, i could look into her eyes forever. these were just the people i worked with on the day-of, so many more people went into this shoot! please see the full list at the bottom.

the soft pink tablecloth stands out to me & sets the tone for the shoot. i love how the ikebana arrangements look with it. i made a full invitation suite, incorporating some bold purples that i don’t usually use (i was so scared, but i LOVE how it turned out!), the menu & place cards for dinner, and then a lyric sheets with words from kacey musgraves’ golden hour (my girl, my song).

it was so fun to make the whole suite with an array of colors: i used white, gray, dark purple, & light purple. since this was a dream-themed shoot, i created a little image that i used across the suite - three shapes, all varying colors of gray, overlapping to create a cloud - alluding to the dreams & clouds. i like how it brought the different colored pieces together. it was so nice to incorporate an “art” piece with the stationery as well, i did each cloud by hand.
