something magical happens when you intertwine love with creativity—and that is exactly what inspired the creation of the amber suite! i love creating thoughtful designs, and when it came to crafting this wedding invitation suite, it was all about weaving that together with the essence of a dreamy love story.

just like selecting the perfect holiday gift, creating a wedding invitation is more than just paper and ink. it’s about infusing love and thoughtfulness into every detail. this styled shoot was created with the intention of being casual, like a heartfelt greeting from a friend. we wanted it to convey warmth—like the casual elegance of a friendly wave, translated into paper and ink.

when designing this suite, i was imaging a couple who were known to be lovers of the southwest and enthusiasts of the outdoors, so i wanted to reflect that in the suite. i chose modern colors in muted tones as a nod to the enchanting landscapes of the southwest.

the design process took a fun turn with the intertwining of the names amber and chris. we wanted to capture the essence of a love story in a visual representation. the result? connecting the first and last letters of both names to create a full circle—a beautiful symbol of an eternal bond.

from there, i created an icon. a small yet powerful emblem of their initials, intentionally intertwined. this icon added a simple touch of magic to the wedding invitation suite.

the amber suite embraces simplicity. the focus was shifted to the names of the couple, standing out boldly against the canvas of muted tones. i wanted each glance to be drawn to the heart of the matter—a celebration of the couple’s union.

beyond being an invitation, the amber suite was crafted as an experience in itself. each element, from the save-the-date card to the rsvp, was carefully curated to evoke the warmth and authenticity of the couple. as the invitation suite was unveiled, it became clear that this was not just a piece of stationery; it was a keepsake. a tangible representation of the love shared between this imagined couple—a love that deserved to be celebrated, cherished, and remembered for a lifetime.

an extra touch that made this suite even more special was personalized letters at each place setting, crafted with the same love and care that went into designing the suite and written in my signature modern calligraphy style.
