Ohhh, what a day it was. The Civil Wars came to Portland awhile ago to play at the Aladdin Theater. It was absolutely lovely. Absolutely.
The Civil Wars is the beautiful pairing of Joy Williams and John Paul White. They are a gorgeous acoustic, folk-ish vibe with amazing vocals and wonderful songs. I love them. It was soo amazing to see them live, so magical! There were so many times when I was just soooo happy and overwhelmed by the beauty of it all. If you haven't checked them out, please do so. You won't regret it.
I was soooo fortunate to meet them after the show, they were sweet. I also got to meet Allister Ann, which was so cool because I was not even expecting that at all. I love her work. She is on tour with The Civil Wars, documenting the tour. Uhh, soo cool. Her photographs can be found at tcwtour.tumblr.com. They are all absolutely gorgeous, and ever so classy in the b&w.

Even though you can't see it, I work an almost black dress, because Joy Williams always wears the most beautiful black dresses, but that's a whole 'nother post. :)
