doily notebook attempt #2

Here's one of my recent attempts to incorporate more creativeness into my everyday life, and it's nottt the best. But, I still like it.

I definitely didn't have enough patience when I was doing this. I mixed Elmer's glue and water to make a paste and then attempted to glue the doily on the notebook. It turned out a little lumpy and left a water/glue marks around the edges, which I was hoping against! Does anybody know any other alternatives for glue pastes that dry clear?

But, all in all, it's cute from far away, haha, and I know that it will make my classes a little easier to bear. You know, because I'll be taking notes in a cute notebook, haha.
