But, seriously.
It is so easy. And so cheap.
I made this chalkboard specifically for my cousin's wedding as the menu board. We needed one without edging and the ones we were looking at were going for about $90, so I took matters into my own hands and made my own.
I got a slab of wood from Home Depot (maybe for $6?), a jar of chalkboard paint at the craft store (maybe $5?) and brushes from the dollar tree. And then all I did was paint, paint, paint.
Paint at least two coats onto your board, with at least three hours between the coats. After your final coat, wait 24 hours for it to cure (whatever that means) and then cover the entire board with chalk. And, you're done!
I know. Toooo easy. And soo fun. Life is great.
